For a call to qualify as a Mobile-to-Mobile call, the incoming number must be recognized by the Caller ID on the SunCom phone receiving the call. Additional fees of up to $3.35 per month, depending on market and rate plan, are charged to help defray the costs of complying with obligations imposed by State and Federal telecom regulations, and the costs of providing access to the landline network. In addition, SunCom charges a Universal Service Fund fee which varies quarterly and is based on the percentage of revenue that SunCom is required to pay into the Federal Universal Service Fund.
